Nate is 36 years old and lives in the beautiful desert of Southern Utah. He has lived with a permanent ileostomy since 2010 but actually needed an ostomy after birth due to congenital defects. He always states that he was born with bad plumbing. His first ileostomy was reversed at 18 months old. Doctors had to build him a new colon from scratch, created the anal cavity and then made a J-Pouch. 20 Years later it turned out that the large intestine tissue was never acutally functioning, he was supposed to be in his prime but he had 20 years of waste inside.
In 2010, he decided to reach out to doctors for help, found an amazing colorectal surgeon that gave him his permanent ileostomy. His Ostomy saved his life and has never looked back. Living his best life being a positive advocate for other people going through what he went through. Check out Nate’s You Tube Channel “Nate Hadlock” for tips and tricks of living life with an Ostomy.
